Project: Fit Out of New Office
London WC1
Dates: Completed 2001
Value: £2M
An old print works in the lower two floors of a residential building were stripped out to create a new open plan office. Further voids were cut into the ground floor slab to allow light into the basement and provide a link between the two floors.
New glass and concrete staircases bridge the two voids connecting the reception to the café area and exhibition space. The interior is simple, clean and uncluttered with white painted walls and a walnut timber floor. Eilir Sheryn was responsible for the staircases, bridges and metalwork items.
This project was under taken whilst with Squire and Partners, London, whose website can be viewed at www.squireandpartners.com.
